Hamtown Fest!

There are so many things to do in the Metro Detroit area over Labor Day weekend, Mark and I chose to check out the Labor Day festival in Hamtramck.  Amazing food, great local bands, a midway, the festival is a lot of fun.  Not too crowded (on account of a little rain earlier), it was a lovely way to spend a Saturday afternoon.  I hadn’t been to this festival in many, many years, it was fun, and a lot of fun checking out Hamtramck, and how much it has changed.

A lovely, though warm, day for a cruise!

This past weekend was the Eddie Hines Parkway cruise.  Though we’ve gone to it many times, this is the first time we’ve been able to drive it!Ours is the blue 48 Ford on the far right.

Mark got to show it off.

This may have been the most popular car there, and yes, the ice cream was good, and necessary on such a warm day.

Some of the cars were extra shiny!

This one made me want to take a family vacation.

I’m a little worried about the back seat passenger.

This guy really likes cars!

A truck that has an outboard motor, though I don’t think it’s watertight, just a guess.

The front of the scariest vehicle I’ve ever seen,

and this is the back!
